Tri Training Harder's Race Team are heading out to Portugal

Tri Training Harder’s racing team is preparing itself to travel out for a weekend at the Tri Training Harder training base in Portugal. 16th-20th January will see the 8 athletes get together to train (and obviously have fun) as a team. This is a fantastic opportunity for Tri Training Harder’s athletes to escape the flooding and ice of the UK to train in 5 star facilities with the Sun on their backs. During the weekend their top level amateurs and Professionals will ride some of the best routes in the Algarve where the roads are perfectly smooth, relatively traffic free and beautifully scenic. They will run on the IAAF cross country running track that hosted the World Championships in the year 2000, a state of the art track and in the nature reserve which clients of Tri Training Harder also get to experience when out in Portugal. The mornings will see them diving into the stunning 50m swimming pool or the deep blue sea off the coast of Albufeira in their brand new Huub wetsuits. In addition to this, Gordon Bosworth who has been in Elite Sport since 2002 and has worked with athletes in the Olympic and Winter Olympic squads in Great Britain and Canada for the past 25years as the Chief Physiotherapist will also be joining Tri Training Harder out in Portugal for the weekend to work closely with the racing team and team physiotherapist at Tri Training Harder, Mike Primett.

This year Tri Training Harder’s race team has athletes looking to compete in the Commonwealth Games, ITU Cup series, European Championships and World Championships both on the amateur and professional scene. There are some new and some old faces on the team this year but all are set and ready to take the season by storm.
